This anthology in translation comprises the first Czech translations of a series of medieval Bulgarian texts from the most significant authors of the era. The opening study by the foremost Bulgarian byzantologist, Ivan Dujčev, will assist the reader to gain a better perspective on this cultural area, as will the introductory essays preceding the literary excerpts, and notes and comments provided.
The book is a republication of "Zlatý věk bulharského písemnictví" (Prague 1982).
